What happens during a session?
Your initial consultation includes a comprehensive history of your bladder and bowel function, sexual background, obstetrics history and pelvic floor function. If deemed suitable, we may perform an internal vaginal examination to assess your pelvic floor function. We also have access to real-time ultrasound which can be used on the abdomen or lower tummy to assess your pelvic floor function without the need of an internal examination. Real-time ultrasound is also a great way to provide you with visual feedback while teaching pelvic floor exercises.
We will then educate you on your condition and provide a treatment plan to manage your symptoms.
